¿Puedes llamar clásica a una canción de los 00s?

En un giro del destino similar al que te llevó a reconectarte con Queen (se acabaron las baterías del transmisor que uso para escuchar el iPod en el auto), me vi obligada a desempolvar un CD que hacía años que no ponía en un reproductor, y me transporté a otros tiempos, en los que las cosas eran diferentes, Plutón era un planeta y en MTV todavía pasaban música, y yo oía a Savage Garden como si no existiera más música sobre la tierra, y la letra de sus canciones me hacía sentir mejor en momentos de tristeza.

Hoy mientras me moriiiia de frío camino a casa, a través del walkman (sí, mi viejo walkman ha vuelto a mi luego de que la batería de mi pobre ipod mini dijera bye +_+), empecé a escuchar una de esas grandes canciones que nos dejó la gran Reina, y me pateé mentalmente por no adornar nuestro blog con algun tema suyo (y mira que te pierdes eligiendo cual poner), pero no contenta con ello, anexo también un par de versiones de la misma.

No sé qué tan antigua sea esta canción... una amiga me pasó el disco de Newton Faulkner (que curiosamente, tiene nombre de escritor aburrido y facha de rastafari), y la canción me gustó. ¿La conoces? Cuando veas el video, hay la opción también de ver el mix entre Dream catch me y Bleeding Love, de Leona Lewis.

De verdad me sorprende encontrarme con tantos videos que no se pueden insertar. ¿Será por mi IP de México? o_O

Maravillosa criatura

Una de mis favoritas estos últimos días es esta preciosísima versión en español de "Meravigliosa creatura" de Gianna Nannini en la voz de un madurísimo Sergio Dalma, el arreglo es simplemente "maravilloso". Dejo ambas versiones, no sólo para compararlas, sino disfrutarlas.

Gracias por las canciones... No conocía ninguna de las tres, y ahora las tres están en mi biblioteca.

Escribí esta entrada en mi blog por esta canción: Love Song de Sara Bareilles (el video no se puede insertar, blah). Después de que mi novio terminó conmigo de un día para otro, sin aviso ni explicación, no podía haber escuchado esta canción más veces en un día de lo que lo hice.

La versión que tengo yo es mucho más "simple" que la versión del video, y me gusta más, porque es sólo eso: una simple voz y unos sencillos acordes en el piano que dicen todo lo que hay que decirle a alguien que pide sin dar nada a cambio.

La letra es magnífica:

¿Qué puedo decir? Fue una más de esas ocasiones en las que me impresionaba darme cuenta que la canción parecía haber sido escrita para mi situación personal específica.

Cuál no fue mi sorpresa cuando leí que Sara escribió esta canción para Sony BMG, cuando esta disquera le pidió que incluyera en su disco una canción de amor que fuera lo suficientemente comercial para hacerla figurar en la industria.

Los viejos grupos vuelven a la gloria!, "Take that" se separó hace unos añitos, todos tomaron sus propios caminos y uno de ellos, Robin Williams, se hizo de un lugar mas que envidiable dentro del mundo musical británico y mundial; quien sabe si por eso, o por volver a sentir la musica, los fans y los bolsillos llenos, los demas chicos se volvieron a reunir. Y digo chicos, porque sinceramente no parece que hubieran pasado tantos años por ellos... bueno, ya se sabe, la fruta cuanto mas madura... XDDD eeer... se me salio el lado Kawaii... volviendo a lo nuestro, Patiente fue su primer sencillo, y aunque a mi parecer aun no han estrenado ningun otro single por tierras españolas, mis infiltraciones a las listas de UK, me llevaron a "Shine" con un ritmo fresco, contagioso que es imposible no disfrutar.

No puedo creer que no había posteado esto. De hecho, estoy segura de que sí lo había posteado, pero losermente no encuentro la entrada, así que si la encuentras, te doy mi permiso para burlarte de mí y decirme que soy una loser.

En otras noticias, me gusta mucho este layout, esta mucho más veraniego que el que teníamos antes. Y por otro lado, ¿qué son las letras que pones antes del nombre del post? BSO sé que es, pero las demás... ¿que onda?

Hace meses subi una cancion de Alejandro Parreño para ese entonces no sabia que junto con Gonzalo, su hermano, y Pablo Torres ya habia formado "Nomada", y ha editado su primer trabajo, que por cierto lleva el mismo nombre que el grupo, no te preocupes, la imaginacion la han reservado para el interior del cd ^^, el primer single promocional es "Las horas", aunque mi favorita es "Sol", a ver si le hacen el video ya ^^

Loser, no se si lo sabes, porque creo que en todas esas horas de viaje, no puse ningun cd similar, pero hay pocos generos musicales que no me gusten y ninguno al que no le de una oportunidad siquiera, entre ellos hay uno que me gusta mucho, aunque para ser sincera me gusta la musica y el estilo de una de sus interpretes, una argentina que justo acaba de celebrar el año pasado sus 10 años en escena, aun recuerdo la primera vez que le escuché, cantando una canción de mis paisanos, porque si, los valses peruanos gustan tambien ^_^ Y a veces falta gente como ella que nos anime aun mas a querer y respetar lo nuestro...

Hace un par de días yendo a hacer unos trámites a Tarragona, la lluvia no cesaba (a la hora que viene el temporal -.-) y en mi mp3 empezaron a sonar notas de una canción que le calzaba perfectamente al ambiente tierno y lindo, Daniel Bedingfield nos endulza con un tema extraido de su primer disco "Gotta Get Thru This", a veces yo misma me sorprendo de la de música que llego a tener y que ni conozco, eso si, el video no me gusta nada :P

En realidad nunca fui fan de Soda Stereo, y no porque me disgustaran, sino porque mi infancia duró hasta mis 18 años y en realidad no me interesaban muchas cosas que no fueran "de niña". Y ahora, décadas después, es como si fueran nuevos otra vez, con el bonus agregado de que, de una u otra manera, su sonido me recuerda a las épocas en que verdaderamente lo eran, cuando las cosas eran más fáciles y mi corazoncito estaba en una pieza.
